Did you know that you can quickly and easily grab the reference citation for almost any source found in the library?

Most databases in the library have a citation tool that will provide you with the APA reference citation for a source. Once you’ve accessed the source you are interested in using, the citation tool can typically be found in the top right corner. Just look for the quotation mark (“).

A new window will pop up with the citation information. For example, it’s not uncommon to see the author's name(s) in the wrong order or to see words in all caps. Use the Writing Center's APA: Formatting Your Reference List guide to double-check the formatting of the generated citation and make any needed corrections.

If you are a RefWorks user, there is also an option to export these citations from the library databases into your account.
